Discounted CCTV installations for non-profit community focused groups

The Security Noticeboard is focused on upskilling our neighbours and assisting those helping our communities by giving them access to the tools and equipment they need. At least the ones we can help with.

If you are part of a “good for the community” group (including unregistered/registered community groups, Charities, and not-for-profit groups) and need CCTV equipment or advice please get in touch. We will give you the advice you need and access to CCTV equipment at cost price and installation is charged at a discounted rate of $60ph. this covers the cost of a technician and related costs such as petrol to get to you.

This service is not available to residents or businesses. However, you can hire our technicians to do this work for you at our standard rate of $125ph and add 15% onto the cost of hardware. all profits go to the “Security Noticeboard Charitable trust”. We then use these profits to cover running costs and fund more community safety and security CCTV in areas frequently targeted by criminals.

As a guide –

a 2x 8MP (4K) cameras plus a video recorder as a kit with 1TB of storage is approximately $949inc GST (this includes 80m or Cat6 cable and rj45 plugs) – mobile app available and recommended as the primary viewing option. additional cameras available for approximately $250 each. (recorder quoted above is 4 channel, if you need more than 4 cameras a recorder with greater capacity will be required).

A standard 2 camera install on an average single story 3 bedroom house will take approximately 2-3 hours.

There are cheaper lower resolution options but this 4K kit is ideal for most situations.

Note: these cameras WILL NOT reliably capture the number plates of passing cars traveling at speed or at night. a slow moving vehicle, sure maybe, but there are specific cameras that must be used to reliably capture number plates of moving vehicles. The tried, tested and and recommended options start at $1350. Again cheaper options may be available but it will greatly depend on your needs as to if they are going to be able to do what you need them to.
